Art Deco
Engagement Rings is a category which denotes
the time period between the 1920's and the
1930's. During this time period Emeralds,
Rubies and Sapphires ( both genuine and synthetic)
were especially desirable. Emeralds from Columbia,
Rubies from Burma, and Sapphires from either
Burma or Cashmere were very much in demand.
Perhaps the confusion as to what constitutes
Art Deco Jewelry can be attributed to the
many varied influences that combined to produce
the style. The Russian Ballet, Cubism, King
Tut and the Paris Exposition all contributed
to the collage that became known as Art Deco.
Art Deco Engagement Rings are hard to find,
very much in demand and highly collectable.
